Our first application is a dry granular application consisting of crabgrass pre-emergence and fertilizer to encourage spring green-up. We are very thorough in our application of this product to ensure maximum benefit for preventing grassy weeds, especially on the edges of your lawn, sidewalks, and drives.
We fertilize your lawn to maintain the vigor and color of spring entering the summer months. This application is made at a critical time when the grass is beginning to produce seed heads—which uses a lot of the plant’s energy that’s been stored in the roots. This application utilizes slow release fertilizers to help feed the lawn up to six more weeks and keep it looking its best. We also apply broadleaf weed control to eliminate any weeds that may be in your lawn—careful not to damage any existing or emerging flowers. If your lawn is scheduled for grub control, it is applied at this time as well.
We use a slow release granular fertilizer to keep your lawn green and growing at an even pace. This application helps the lawn stay healthy during Ohio’s typically hot July days. We look over your lawn for weeds, insects, disease or any other problems that are visible to the technician.
This application promotes the recovery process from any stresses the lawn may have encountered over the summer months. We fertilize the lawn and spray our high quality, liquid weed control over the entire lawn. This is the best time of year for controlling unwanted broadleaf weeds. Eliminating weeds at this time of year keeps the dandelions away the following spring.
This fertilizer application promotes root growth and early spring green-up the following year. Although this application is made in November and early December, it is a very effective application as it leads to increased energy reserves in the roots for utilization the following spring.
Any of these service can be added to your Deluxe Program or à la carte through the season.
Aeration
Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger more vigorous lawn. The main reason for aeration is to alleviate soil compaction.
Flea and Tick Treatment
Environmental conditions, proximity to woods, open fields, wildlife and pets (yours and your neighbors) near your home can lead to an infestation of these pesky and potentially harmful critters. The good news is that we have a treatment programs that will help rid your lawn of fleas and ticks. We can help keep fleas and ticks away from your family by working together to develop a solid plan for their control. Prompt treatment as soon as a problem is noticed will prevent the invaders from migrating to inside living spaces. Whatever your flea and tick control needs, please feel free to call us for more information.
Lawn Insect Control
We can apply insect control throughout the season depending on the insect pest causing damage. Without warning, insects can cause a great deal of damage to your lawn. We can treat your lawn for a wide range of surface and root feeding insects, as well as fleas and ticks. Examples of such insects are white grubs, lawn moths, sod web worms, chinch bugs, bluegrass bill bugs (adult and larvae), and army worms.
Note: Certain lawns have a special problem with white grubs. A preventive grub treatment in May will protect your lawn for the entire summer and into late fall–essentially the entire grub season.
